Our Mission

The Latin American Community Art Project (LA CAPacidad) promotes inter-cultural awareness through community art projects in Latin America and the United States. LACAP organizes artist residencies in Latin America where both the local community and the visiting artists are mutually enriched by their interactions through workshops, artistic collaborations, and community improvement projects, as it was successfully done in Mexico and El Salvador. LACAP's further mission is to expand this international dialogue via traveling exhibitions and events in Latin America and the United States, which showcase the work produced during these residencies.
